President Trump Talks Tough on Iran Nuclear Deal
- President Trump spoke at length by phone during a morning TV show on Tuesday.
- He deemed a nuclear deal signing inevitable, but ruled out extending the ceasefire.
- He also called for the release of 8 women reportedly under threat of execution.
“I think we will end up with a great deal. I think they have no choice,”
“Ready to Go Back”
“I believe they have no choice,” said President Trump regarding the Iranian regime, emphasizing the near destruction of their military capabilities. “We have taken out their navy, we have taken out their air force, we have taken out their leaders,” he asserted. He claimed victory in the conflict and suggested a quick triumph in Vietnam. If talks with Tehran fail, he stated they are prepared to return, highlighting increased military strength.
During the interview, President Trump insinuated that China may have aided Iran in replenishing their arms stock, referencing an incident with a captured vessel. Expressing surprise and hinting at a potential breach of trust with President Xi, whom he is scheduled to meet in mid-May.
On his platform Truth Social, President Trump urged Iranian leaders to free eight women facing execution. “I would greatly appreciate the release of these women,” he wrote, directing the message to the negotiating Iranian representatives and including photos of the women.
