Opening of the Tuilerie and closure of Festi Limos.
The Sunday July 5, La Tuilerie, the cultural and events hub of Limouxin, will open its doors to the public for a day of discovery, meetings and festivities. Free and open to all, this event will also mark the closing of the Festi Limos festival.
From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., residents, curious people and culture lovers will be able to explore this new facility dedicated to creation, artistic dissemination and community life in the region. The teams from the Tuilerie, the conservatory and partner associations will welcome the public to discover the different spaces, the activities offered and the numerous projects which will bring this place to life throughout the year.
At the same time, the village of Festi Limos will remain open until 3 p.m. in the Tuilerie parking lot. Fanfares, brazier food and refreshments will extend the festive spirit of this exceptional day. The day will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a musical welcome provided by the conservatory’s brass ensemble, followed by the official opening ceremony.
Throughout the day, the public will be able to enjoy a rich and eclectic program bringing together music, dance, theater, circus and visual arts: the Toulouse brass ensemble concert, offered as part of Festi Limos. The big closing concert of the Vents d’ouest en harmony departmental course, bringing together nearly 80 musicians; performances by conservatory students; shows from the Tempo danse and Kitty Chauvet schools; unusual puppets offered in partnership with the ATP de l’Aude; circus performances; a poetic reading around Joseph Delteil by Christophe Roncalli; the creation of the participatory fresco “Culture, why?”, imagined by Eleven’Art.
A place of culture to discover
Designed as a space for creation, transmission and sharing, the Tuilerie aims to become a true place of cultural life for the whole of Limouxin. This open day is an opportunity to discover these facilities and to meet the cultural actors of the region.
