The Arts et Musiques association unveils a rich and varied program for June, with concerts, events and social actions for all audiences.

The Arts et Musiques en Provence association announces a dense and festive month of June, placing music at the heart of social bonds, from the Alps to the Mediterranean. Driven by a desire for sharing and accessibility, the eclectic programming will be aimed at all ages and will be deployed on the entire territory, from Marseille to Monaco, including villages and more isolated places of life.

« Let’s continue, throughout the month, to bring these moments of shared culture to life together » underlines Claude Freissinier, director of Arts and Music.

This ambition is reflected in a multitude of events which will punctuate the start of the summer, taking over cultural stages as well as schools, EHPADs and even public spaces.

La Voie est Libre, flagship event of the Music Festival

The highlight of this month of June will undoubtedly be the special edition of “La Voie est Libre” on the Corniche Kennedy in Marseille. On Sunday June 21, from 5 p.m. to midnight, the famous avenue will be returned to pedestrians for an evening Music Festival. Produced by Arts et Musiques for the City of Marseille, the event promises a vast cultural and festive journey by the sea, completely free. Strolls, artistic proposals, workshops and concerts will transform this exceptional setting into an open-air stage, marking the launch of Marseillais Summer 2026.

An eclectic program throughout the territory

The rest of the month will be just as lively. Young audiences will be able to get excited with “La Boum Boom” by Anne-Laure Carette, a participatory discotheque which will take place on June 6 at the SMOB festival in Saint-Michel-l’Observatoire, then on June 21 at the MJC in Cavaillon. In Digne-les-Bains, the René Char Cultural Center will welcome the Fafa Carioca quintet on June 11 for a musical journey to Brazil, with a special offer “1 place purchased = 1 place free”. Jazz will be in the spotlight in Cassis on June 19, with the accomplice duo formed by trumpeter Christophe LeLoiL and pianist Rob Clearfield at the Jardin de la Villa Ariane. In Marseille, Arts et Musiques will also orchestrate the festive atmosphere of the TOP 14 rugby semi-finals on June 19 and 20, with numerous brass bands and musical entertainment from the Old Port around the stadium. Finally, until September 30, Alberto Pollán’s Cuarteto Cubano will liven up the evenings at the Amazónico Monte-Carlo in Monaco.

Culture for all, at the heart of social commitment

Faithful to its DNA, the association is multiplying initiatives to bring culture to so-called “restricted” or isolated audiences. This mission is realized through projects of high human value, such as the “Songs from here and elsewhere” workshops led by Jean-Jacques “Jako” Blanc at the MJC in Martigues. These weekly meetings bring together refugees and newly arrived people around singing, creating a space for integration and intercultural dialogue. The testimony of Alaa, a young 28-year-old Syrian, illustrates the scope of this approach.

“I feel good here at the MJC, I have a lot of friends there. I sing, I do bodybuilding, I attend parties and I learn French. HAS”

Numerous musical events are also planned in EHPADs, notably in Puimoisson (June 5), Seyne-les-Alpes (June 9), Digne-les-Bains (June 10) and Les Mées (June 26). A “Karaoke Orchestar”, carried by a live orchestra, will even be held at the Draguignan remand center on June 19.

Favorites of the month: flamenco and Indian music

Among the association’s recommendations, the Solea Center in Marseille will put flamenco in the spotlight with two events: a tablao with the young artist Aitana Rousseau on June 5 and 6, followed by the students’ end-of-year show on July 3. On June 13, an evening of Indian classical music will be offered at the Tibetan Buddhist Center in Marseille, with Sylvie de Saaj (sitar), Piyush Mishra (tabla) and David Daron (tanpura).
