A day of solidarity, culture and celebration for the benefit of an orphanage in Gaza. More details with Info Chalon.

While the humanitarian situation remains dramatic in Gaza, the West Bank and part of Lebanon, solidarity continues to be organized here, in Saône-et-Loire.

After the success of their premiere edition, Festi’Palestine makes its comeback.

On Sunday June 7, 2026, the Grange Rouge in La Chapelle-Naude will host the second edition of this solidarity, cultural and popular event which has become an unmissable event for those who wish to combine discovery, conviviality and concrete support for the Palestinian people.

Supported by a large associative collective coordinated in particular by the Association France Palestine Solidarité du Chalonnais (AFPS 71), Festi’Palestine will offer throughout the day a rich and diversified program.

Documentary films, debates, concert bringing together four groups, dance demonstrations, activities for children and adults, gastronomic specialties, Palestinian artisanal products and community village. more than twenty organizations solidarity, humanitarian, union and citizen will punctuate this exceptional day.

Beyond its festive and cultural character, the event has a profoundly united objective. As explained to us Richard Beningerthe president of the AFPS 71, «the ambition remains as strong and urgent as during the first edition»; à savoir «transform solidarity into concrete actions»

All donations and amounts collected during the day will be dedicated to financing a project in Palestine. This year, the organizers chose to support an orphanage located in Gaza.

In a context where the civilian populations of Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon continue to suffer the dramatic consequences of the conflicts and crises crossing the Middle East, the organizers intend to remind people that it is possible, at the local level, to provide tangible help and to keep the bond of international solidarity alive.

The preparation of this second edition is now coming to an end. The final meeting of the organizing collective was held on Friday May 29, 2026 in Tournus. A studious meeting which made it possible to finalize the last logistical aspects of the event: mobilization of volunteers (nearly 45 people are already involvedwith other volunteers still waiting), coordination of the twenty participating associations, distribution of responsibilities, inventory of equipment already acquired and list of the latest necessary purchases.

A few days before the doors open, all the stakeholders involved are showing their determination to make this second edition a strong moment of sharing, information and support.

More than a festival, Festi’Palestine aims to be a space for meetings between cultures, commitments and solidarity, in the service of a cause which remains more relevant than ever.
