In continuation of the “brigade de combat” initiative launched last year, this new phase targets the divisional level, with a focus on equipping logistics and maintenance brigades. The objective is to bring together operational forces, capacity stakeholders, and industry players around concrete operational needs to identify potential solutions by 2027.
Five themes have been identified with the forces: logistics supply and handling, route planning, protection, connectivity, information systems, and maintenance solutions.
An immersion into the operational capacities of a divisional support brigade (BSD)
Organized within the logistics brigade, this day provided participants with a practical immersion into the operational capacities of a divisional support brigade (BSD). Dynamic workshops helped to better understand its missions and engagement constraints: transporting equipment, food, water, and energy, deploying a mobile command post in less than ten minutes, integrating health requirements, and managing operational flows.
Alternating presentations, exchanges, and demonstrations, this day drew on the expertise of state actors: STAT, SIMMT (Integrated Structure for the Operational Maintenance of Land Equipment), DGA (General Directorate of Armament), and AID (Defense Innovation Agency).
It helped to better understand and characterize the needs of logistics and maintenance brigades. It marks an important milestone in the enhancement of support at the divisional level and, ultimately, within the army as a whole.
