Conference at the cinema: Orson Welles and music

This Monday, March 30 at 8:30 pm, an exceptional session will be held at the Lumière cinema. Francis Desbarats, former cinema teacher and member of the cinema association, will lead a conference on the musical universe of Orson Welles’ filmography.

He will use some excerpts from the films of this monument of the 7th art whose career spanned from the 1930s to the 1980s. Admission is free.

Meeting of wind orchestras

The musical center of Union proposes an atypical concert on Saturday, April 4 at 3:30 pm at the Grand Hall. Atypical, indeed, but not unheard of since the Union musicians have already organized several concerts of this kind. They invite wind ensembles from other schools to deliver to the public a concert consisting of great intergenerational classics, as well as interpretations of contemporary creations, all for free.

Reading aloud at the library

The Plaisir de lire library will host a time from the metropolitan festival Marathon des Mots.

On Thursday, April 2 at 6:30 pm, readings of works by Joan-Lluis Lluis, Amélie Nothomb, and Fatou Diome will be offered to the public free of charge.

Registrations are recommended by directly contacting the library.
