The Ministry of Education and Training has responded to comments regarding the national competition in scientific and technological research for high school students (middle school and high school) for the school year 2025-2026. Consequently, the Ministry of Education and Training stated that it has received information regarding certain suspicions related to the scientific integrity of the National Competition in Science and Technology Research for high school students (middle school and high school) for the school year 2025-2026.
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, this is an open competition; therefore, post-competition examination and verification are one of the important tasks of the organizing committee to ensure objectivity, transparency, and compliance with regulations.
Currently, the Ministry of Education and Training has requested relevant units to coordinate with the competition organizers, judges, and relevant organizations and individuals to investigate, verify, and clarify the reported issues.
Based on the examination and verification results, if violations are detected, the Ministry of Education and Training and the competition organizing committee will review and handle them strictly in accordance with Circular No. 24/2025/TT-BGDĐT amending and supplementing a number of articles of the regulations related to the national competition in scientific and technological research for high school students, as well as other relevant legal provisions; ensuring the principles of objectivity, fairness, transparency, and seriousness.
The Ministry of Education and Training will continue to provide regular updates once an official conclusion has been reached.

In recent days, social media has widely shared the award-winning projects of the national science and technology competition for high school students in the school year 2025-2026. Among them, the project titled “Development of multifunctional polyurethane composite materials, fireproof, thermal-insulating, and antimicrobial, for applications in construction and daily life,” carried out by a group of students from Luong Van Tuy High School for gifted students in Ninh Binh, has particularly attracted attention.
The national competition in scientific and technological research for high school students for the school year 2025-2026 took place over three days, from March 20 to 22, in Hanoi. The organizing committee finally rewarded 145 projects, including 14 first prizes, 29 second prizes, 44 third prizes, and 58 fourth prizes.
Fourteen teams have won the first prize from schools including: Vietnam National University – Faculty of Natural Sciences (3); Hanoi (3); Ninh Binh (1); Hung Yen (1); Ho Chi Minh City (1); Hai Phong (1); Dong Nai (1); Bac Ninh (1); Quang Ninh (1); Vietnamese Institute of Educational Sciences (1).
