A promise from the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States. The American army announced on Thursday June 18 that it had lifted its maritime blockade of Iranian ports, after having prevented ships from landing in or leaving Iran for more than two months. “Today, U.S. forces lifted the blockade on all maritime traffic entering and exiting Iranian ports and coastal areas, in accordance with the President’s directives.”announced the American military command for the Middle East (Centcom) on X. “US forces do not impede the passage of ships to or from Iranian ports on the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. All operations implementing the US military blockade have ceased”prÃ©cise le communiquÃ© du Centcom.

Benjamin Netanyahu does not want to get angry with Washington. “The fight is not over, and other challenges await us, the Israeli Prime Minister declared on Thursday. They demand discernment, a resolute defense of Israel’s security interests and, at the same time, the preservation of our vital relationship with our American friends.” he stressed, greeting allies “who stood with us in this fight, a partnership we deeply appreciate”.
The Strait of Hormuz returns to service. A first French-flagged liquefied natural gas (LNG) transport vessel crossed the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday, after the signing of an agreement paving the way for the end of the conflict in the Middle East which has immobilized this strategic maritime artery, according to data from MarineTraffic and Kpler.
