A promise from the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States. The American army announced on Thursday June 18 that it had lifted its maritime blockade of Iranian ports, after having prevented ships from landing in or leaving Iran for more than two months. “Today, U.S. forces lifted the blockade on all maritime traffic entering and exiting Iranian ports and coastal areas, in accordance with the President’s directives.”announced the American military command for the Middle East (Centcom) on X. “US forces do not impede the passage of ships to or from Iranian ports on the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman.
