Music Festival: in Paris, alcohol will be banned on the banks of the Seine and the Canal Saint-Martin

The 2026 vintage promises to be more sober than expected. As a heat wave sets in over a large part of the territory, the Paris police headquarters has issued an order prohibiting the consumption of alcohol on the quays of the Seine as well as on the banks of the Saint-Martin canal, in particular on the quays of Jemmapes and Valmy.

The ban will come into force on Sunday from 8 a.m., while the sale of alcohol in supermarkets located around the Saint-Martin canal will be banned from 1 p.m. The prefecture also prohibits the possession and transport of alcoholic beverages, as well as glass containers, in the sectors concerned.
