Paris FC emerged victorious against FC Fleury 91 (2-1) on Saturday at the Charléty Stadium, during the 18th matchday of the Arkema Women’s First Division. This win in the final minutes allows the Parisian team to secure their fifth consecutive victory across all competitions.

A perfect start for Paris FC

Paris FC began their derby match in style by taking the lead in the 1st minute. Clara Mateo scored after a high press from Anaëlle Le Moguédéc, finding herself alone against the goalkeeper before slotting the ball into the empty net (1-0, 1st minute).

Despite their strong start, FC Fleury 91 managed to equalize before halftime. Ngock surprised Mylène Chavas with a lobbed shot (1-1, 18th minute), completely changing the course of the match.

The rest of the first half was more balanced, with few clear chances for either side.

A fierce and tight second half

After the break, the game became more intense. Paris FC struggled to keep possession, allowing Fleury opportunities on the counterattack.

However, the Parisian defense remained solid, repelling the opposition’s attacks in a second half marked by numerous duels.

A decisive penalty in injury time

Just when it seemed like the match would end in a draw, a handball was awarded in the box towards the end of the game.

Lorena Azzaro calmly converted the penalty (2-1, 90+2), securing the win for Paris FC in front of their home crowd at Charléty.

Paris FC in good spirits ahead of the French Cup

With this victory, Paris FC continues their positive momentum in the Arkema Women’s First Division with a fifth consecutive win.

Sandrine Soubeyrand’s players will now focus on their French Cup semi-final, facing a derby against Paris Saint-Germain Féminines.
