Jean Bernard was elected president of the Foundation for Wine Culture and Civilizations, the organization which manages and develops the Cité du Vin in Bordeaux.

The Foundation for Wine Culture and Civilizations announces the appointment, unanimously by its board of directors, of Jean Bernard to the position of president. Administrator of the structure since 2025 and director of the Bernard Group, he officially takes up his position this Thursday, June 17 in Bordeaux, within this public utility foundation which manages the Cité du Vin, a cultural place dedicated to wine heritage.

He succeeds Sylvie Cazes, emblematic president since 2014, who left her position on June 16 to devote herself “to his other professional activities within his incoming agency Bordeaux Saveurs, the restaurant Le Chapon Fin and his wine property, Château Chauvinâ€. For his mandate, the new president’s roadmap will revolve around the development and international influence of the site. « A long-time partner of the Cité du Vin, I know how much it plays a leading role in the attractiveness of Bordeaux.»déclare Jean Bernard.
