Trump threatens to start ‘dropping bombs’ again if Iran ‘doesn’t behave’
US President Donald Trump threatened on Wednesday to start “throwing bombs” again if Iran “does not behave well”, two days before the signing in Geneva of a memorandum of understanding between Washington and Tehran.
“It is not (a text) final. It’s a memorandum of understanding,” and “if I don’t like it, if they don’t behave well, we will start throwing bombs right in their heads again,” he said on the sidelines of a meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi, at the G7 summit in Evian.

The reopening of the Strait of Hormuz will be “a huge step forward”, says NATO
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte on Wednesday welcomed the agreement between the United States and Iran to end the war, stressing that the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz would be “a huge step forward.”
“Restoring free movement across the Strait of Hormuz will be a huge step forward. I know that many Allies – through the initiative led by France and the United Kingdom – are ready to provide their support,” he declared during a press briefing at the Alliance headquarters in Brussels.

The United States and Europeans from the G7 will produce “under license” in Ukraine long-range missiles and anti-aircraft defense systems, a diplomatic source announced on Wednesday at the G7 summit in Evian.

Global oil demand revised further downward for 2026
The International Energy Agency also revised downwards its forecast for global oil demand for 2026 in its latest monthly report published on Wednesday, pointing to the “considerable” impact of the war in the Middle East on the market.
The IEA now expects global oil demand to fall by 1.1 million barrels per day in 2026, a decline almost three times larger than it forecast last month.

Oil stocks in OECD countries are at their lowest since 1990
Oil stocks in OECD countries have reached their lowest level since 1990, said the International Energy Agency (IEA) on Wednesday in its monthly report, in a context of oil supply difficulties linked to the blockage of the Strait of Hormuz in recent months.
“Despite the significant drop in demand for oil (…), reserves continue to erode at a record rate,” notes the IEA in its report, indicating that the reserves of OECD countries have fallen by 163 million barrels since the start of the war in the Middle East.

US-Iran deal can be a game-changer in the Middle East, says Canadian Prime Minister
The agreement reached between the United States and Iran can “really change the situation” in the Middle East but also on other issues such as Ukraine, the Canadian Prime Minister said on Wednesday, noting the change in American tone vis-à-vis Moscow. “This creates the opportunity for real game-changer,†he said at a press conference on the sidelines of the G7 Summit.
“I am referring to the discussions we had on Ukraine, on Lebanon,” he added, citing a “change of orientation, more realistic expectations, as to the evolution” of the war and “the position towards Russia, the strengthening of sanctions against Russia, the capacity to provide additional defensive support to Ukraine.”

In Lebanon, several Israeli strikes in the south of the country this Wednesday morning
Israel struck southern Lebanon several times on Wednesday morning despite the agreement reached between Tehran and Washighton, reported the Lebanese national information agency (Ani, official).
These strikes particularly affected the region of Nabatiyé and Kfartebnit, according to the same source. Iranian oil tankers have crossed the US blockade zone
Iranian tankers have crossed the zone of the American blockade of Iranian ports which had been in place for approximately two months, indicated this Wednesday the maritime monitoring site Tanker Trackers.
“At least two supertankers from the National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC), named Diona and Hero2, crossed the perimeter of the US Navy blockade, carrying between them a total of 3.8 million barrels of Iranian crude oil,” the site reported on X, later reporting the passage of a third Iranian tanker. “These are Iran’s first crude oil exports in two months,” he notes.

Iranian army threatens ‘harsh response’ to Israeli attacks in Lebanon
The Iranian army is threatening a “harsh response” to Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon which left four dead on Tuesday, despite the announcement of an agreement between the United States and the Islamic Republic to end the war.
“If the infanticidal army of the Zionist regime does not put an end to its aggressions in southern Lebanon, it will have to expect a harsh response from the powerful armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” the command of the armed forces warned, Khatam al-Anbiya in a press release cited by state television Irib. By his count, Israel has violated the ceasefire in Lebanon 84 times since the announcement of the agreement on Monday.
