Cultural Itinerancy 2026: culture in motion throughout the territory (…) – Online information site, on Tarbes and Greater Tarbes

Cultural Itinerancy, now the responsibility of the Tarbes – Lourdes – Pyrenees Urban Community, will pursue its primary ambition in 2026: bring culture closer to residentsin all its diversity and its artistic demands.

As has been recalled, it is “bring a quality cultural offering throughout the community territory” and “introduce people to live shows, music, dance, art: create a desire for culture  ”.

For three years, the results have demonstrated real enthusiasm:

– 3,000 spectators,

– 50 spectacles donnés,

– 135 amateur actors involved,

– 70 workshop participants,

– and constant mobilization of municipalities and companies.

For the 2026 edition, 7 companies have been selected. They will offer 25 shows in 21 towns, between June and September. Theater, music, dance, circus, original creations: an eclectic program that reflects the vitality of the local cultural fabric and the city’s commitment to supporting creation and dissemination.

This roaming also makes it possible to promote the region’s cultural places – museums, performance halls, Conservatories, media libraries – and to encourage meetings between artists and residents. A concrete way of bringing culture to life as a common, accessible, shared and unifying good.
