“Cicero and Socrates in the time of Nicolas Poussin: ancient costume in classical painting”

During the Renaissance, renewed interest in ancient culture led artists and scholars to take an interest in Greek and Roman “customs” and “costumes”, which they studied through texts and archaeological remains.

“Brûle Bébé”

The Lost Dead Moving Spaghetti Heroes: a tribute to Spaghetti Westerns, set against a backdrop of bluegrass covers with folk rock accents, at the crossroads of country and pirate songs, played by a band of six outlaw companeros, as fierce as they are determined.

“The Mad Dog of Europe”
Debate meeting. Single session presented by members of the Human Rights League, followed by a discussion. Documentary (1h23) by Rubika Shah. In 1932, Herman J. Mankiewicz, who would become famous 10 years later for his screenplay for Citizen Kane, wrote The Mad Dog of Europe: a visionary script denouncing the Hitler threat. Between diplomatic pressures and economic interests, the Hollywood studios prefer to remain silent and bury the project.
