Despite a particularly complicated financial situation, Pierre and Frédérique continue to put their relationship first and foremost. For her husband’s 50th birthday, the former candidate for L’amour est dans le pré chose a gift full of meaning. Through a shared tattoo, Frédérique wanted to pay tribute to their meeting. A symbolic gesture which recalls the first exchanges which marked the beginning of the love story of Gabriel’s parents several years ago.
A symbolic tattoo to celebrate their history
While they are going through a delicate period financially, Pierre and Frédérique do not forget the essentials. The emblematic couple from season 7 of L’amour est dans le pré has to face more than 1.5 million euros in debt and is forced to sell their farm as well as their house. Despite these difficulties, Frédérique wanted to celebrate her husband’s 50th birthday in a very personal way. In a video published on Instagram on June 13, 2026, she revealed the gift chosen for this special occasion: a shared tattoo session. Together, the two lovers had an envelope tattooed from which two hearts escape.
This drawing was not chosen at random. It directly represents the beginnings of their relationship, born thanks to a letter sent after the broadcast of Pierre’s portrait in the show hosted by Karine Le Marchand in 2012. In the caption of its publication, Frédérique explained the symbolism of this tattoo: “A letter sent, a letter received, full of love, full of our future love”. In the video, she also returns to this founding exchange. “It only took a few words, written on paper. A letter to change forever and ever the destiny of two people who were never supposed to meet,” she says in voiceover.
A couple united despite the trials
Over the years, Pierre and Frédérique have built a solid history. In her publication, the former suitor evokes real evidence between them. She describes “a communion of soul beyond all understanding” and remembers this immediate desire to never leave each other again. Their relationship quickly took shape. In 2013, they welcomed their son Gabriel before getting married a year later. Since then, the two spouses have displayed an intact complicity. This joint tattoo thus symbolizes a lasting love, capable of withstanding the ups and downs of life and the difficulties encountered in recent months. This attention comes in a particularly trying context for the couple. Faced with their financial problems, Pierre and Frédérique were however able to count on the support of many relatives and former participants of L’amour est dans le pré. Several figures from the show spoke out on social networks to encourage their subscribers to help them. A prize pool, launched at the initiative of Frédérique’s mother, was also created. More than 900 people have already participated. Thanks to this mobilization, the sum of 26,690 euros was collected. A surge of solidarity that brings a little comfort to the couple.
