The City of Lyon unveils a dense summer program with the Music Festival on June 21 and the return of the Tout l’Monde Dehors festival from June 30 to August 30.
The cultural summer promises to be particularly lively in Lyon. From June 21, the Music Festival will take over the entire city with a program spread over 22 sites and 13 certified stages. More than 150 musical groups are expected for a day of concerts which will last from noon to midnight.
Current music, classical, hip-hop, rock and even world music will punctuate the different Lyon districts. Iconic places such as the Town Hall or the Museum of Fine Arts will also participate in the event.
A few days later, the “Tout l’Monde Dehors” festival will take over. From June 30 to August 30, more than 200 free meetings will be offered in nearly 84 locations across the nine boroughs. Concerts, theater, dance, film screenings, readings and popular balls will make up this 24th edition.
Among the highlights announced are the grand folk ball of the Soïo Mundo festival, the open-air cinema screenings of “Summer in Cinemascope” and the return of the German-speaking Sommerkino festival. A program supported by 86 cultural associations and more than 1,500 volunteers.
