It all started from a long-distance relationship, during which Alexis and Pauline sent each other stuffed animals. Once reunited, the couple had the idea of ​​starting from their love for these teddy bears to develop their first creations. They thus began to make, in their small workshop, seats covered with soft stuffed animals: parrots, peacocks, bear cubs, rabbits, etc. This is how the AP Collection company was born.

The variety of models, the playful and colorful aspect, the soft comfort and the daring side of each piece quickly made the brand a success. “Depending on the models, we use handmade plush toys, reinforced with padding to guarantee their durability. We also integrate real feathers, for example. The base of the armchair can be lacquered with gold leaf.“, explained Alexis in March 2025 to Sudinfo.

The creators of AP Collection make it a point of honor to manufacture their pieces in Belgium. Moreover, each model is only produced in a maximum of one hundred copies, and each armchair, stool, bench or ottoman can be personalized, since everything is done by hand. Pauline and Alexis even launched a series of mirrors and headboards.

A worldwide success

And the least we can say is that AP Collection creations are widely popular, well beyond the Belgian borders. Monaco, Paris, Seoul, Los Angeles… The brand is now recognized throughout the world. Large luxury brands exhibit the plush armchairs, including La Rinascent in Milan, the Galeries Lafayette in Doha, Côte Sud Plaza in Los Angeles and Club 21 in Singapore.
