What if we celebrated Midsummer in a crazy atmosphere? This is the proposal from the La Soulane association in Jézeau for a crazy Occitan weekend!
Around the goddess “era Maire Pantofla”, and to celebrate the thirty years of the bilingual section of the Sarrancolin school, activities will honor the Occitan calendar festival in a very Bigourdan ritual.
Opening of the festivities this Friday at 5:03 p.m. at the school with a slipper throwing warm-up session. 1 7:32 p.m., Eths Bohons concert in the church, followed by a psychedelic ball at Paradiso with Mbraia.
Saturday at 2:03 p.m., the official slipper throwing tournament will take place at Tiers Lieu La Soulane. A major international competition which will combine style, distance and precision. This will also be an opportunity to enjoy a “pimpe ta pantoufle” workshop, a slipper freestyle and even the slipper!
The day will continue in the evening, from 9:02 p.m., with a stroll by the local goddess, the concert by the Lavoa Lapo duo, the Midsummer bonfire with the Boîte à Léon and the Trucs concert in a duo of drums and amplified cowbells!
