After obtaining his diploma from the Peoples Security Academy in 2019, Doan Van Chi joined the Department of Security Investigations of the Army Security Protection Bureau. Thanks to the attention, leadership, and guidance of the Party Committee and unit commanders, as well as the unwavering support of his comrades, Doan Van Chi quickly adapted to the unit’s work, successfully completing the tasks assigned to him and excelling in certain missions.

With the enthusiasm of youth and a remarkable ability to identify threats to national security in general and military security in particular, Doan Van Chi consistently and proactively provides sound advice and relevant solutions to superiors at all levels, ensuring military security. His proposals are diverse and comprehensive, including many aspects related to scientific research.
Early in 2023, noting certain deficiencies in the protection of state secrets within the Vietnamese People’s Army, in some services and units, he proposed with determination to his superiors at all levels to carry out the research project entitled “Preventing Leaks and Losses of State Secrets in the Vietnamese People’s Army today”. This project was successfully approved by the General Political Department and selected to participate in the 24th edition of the Army’s Youth Innovation Award.
Although the unit achieved considerable work in 2023, the nature of professional work became increasingly demanding, and he had to manage a relatively heavy workload, both in his professional work and academic tasks (second degree in English and postgraduate studies). However, thanks to his passion for scientific research, Doan Van Chi continuously made efforts to achieve his set goals.
With enthusiasm, determination, and fervent passion, Doan Van Chi was rewarded for his efforts and received recognition and praise from his organization. In 2023, he excellently fulfilled his professional duties, serving as chief editor and co-editor of three articles published in three scientific journals, both internal and external to the army. He also successfully conducted his research work, earning him the title of Outstanding Soldier at the grassroots level and a Party member who performed his duties with excellence. He received congratulations from the head of the General Political Department and a merit certificate from the director of the Army Security and Protection Department for his remarkable contributions to scientific research.

He is also the chief editor of a monograph entitled “Preventing Leaks and Losses of State Secrets in the Vietnamese People’s Army today,” published by the Army Publishing House in March 2024.
In an interview, Doan Van Chi expressed his desire to contribute more to military security and stated that this motivates him to overcome difficulties and challenges, especially the time factor, which is always a major obstacle. His scientific research activities often take place late at night, sometimes until 2 a.m.
According to Colonel Le Dang Thai, head of the Department of Political Affairs of the Army’s Security and Protection Department, Doan Van Chi is a meticulous and methodical young officer, always enthusiastic, eager to learn, and determined to successfully carry out all missions entrusted to him. He is a very promising officer, highly appreciated and trusted by the department’s hierarchy, the Party committee, and the security investigation division when assigned missions.
