Donald Trump assured Thursday that a “very good agreement” had been concluded with Iran and could be signed this weekend in Europe, a spectacular turnaround a few hours after threatening to launch new strikes. “We have just reached a very good agreement to end the war with Iran and once the documents are finalized, which should be done in the next few days, we will probably have a signature, perhaps in Europe.”he said at the White House.

He indicated that he would not attend this signing, but that it would take place in the presence of Vice President JD Vance.

Donald Trump also said Thursday that Iranian Supreme Guide Mojtaba Khamenei had validated what the American president called “very solid framework agreement” et “très détaillé” (“memorandum of understanding”) with the United States.

“From what I understand, the answer is yes”he replied, when a journalist asked him if the Iranian leader had validated the compromise between Washington and Tehran.
