Beethoven’s piano trios will resonate at Prayssas with the Coriolan Trio. Three concerts for a new complete work before a world tour in 2027, the composer’s bicentenary year.
Ariane Granjon, Marie-Claude Bantigny and Laurent Cabasso form the “Coriolan Trio” and will perform the complete seven piano trios of Beethoven on Saturday June 13 at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Sunday June 14 at 4 p.m. in the auditorium.
A first which takes place in Prayssas before presenting it in the largest halls in the world next year, 2027, the bicentenary of the composer’s death.
The “Coriolan Trio”, undoubtedly one of the best piano trios in the world, brings together three passionate musicians, united by the same artistic demands and a deep experience of chamber music.
Through these seven Beethoven trios, a whole life of his creation unfolds, that of a daring young man ready to shake up the established forms of the time, and, with age, the visionary artist, reaching towards the light, of the last years.
Ariane Granjon, violin
She obtained her soloist diploma at the Rotterdam Conservatorium and a first prize in DNSPM at the Conservatoire national supérieur de Lyon. His musical activity is essentially oriented towards chamber music.
Marie-Claude Bantigny, violoncelle
She is part of the great lineage of French cellists and her career as a chamber musician and soloist leads her to play in the largest halls and festivals in France and Europe.
Laurent Cabasso, piano
At the age of 18, he won first prizes in piano and chamber music. He performs with the biggest orchestras in the biggest halls, because he is a sought-after partner of the greatest musicians.
