It’s a consecration“, says Lucie Le Blanc. The 27-year-old opera singer, who grew up in Genest-Saint-Isle, will perform at the Avignon off-festival from July 4 to 25 with her company Les Trouvailles Lyriques, created at the beginning of 2025 with two friends. She will present the show she put on stage Our futureadapted from the eponymous text by Georges Feydeau. “I had the idea of doing a short show, accessible to all ages and all social backgrounds and with humor to introduce people to lyrical singing.“, presents the one who has been taking classes at the Paris Conservatory since 2020.

Trade shows at the Avignon festival

Was she thinking of the Avignon festival when she created her company in 2025? “No way“, answers Lucie Le Blanc. We had to start by creating the show, which took several months between the writing, the staging, the sets and the costumes. “We added very well-known opera arias, Mozart, Puccini, Massenet, Offenbach and we wrote small scenes so that it was fluid“, she explains.

Subsequently, the company took up a residency at the Théâtre de la Jonquière in Paris. “They gave us four days of representation.“A success. Which led the three friends to play more than ten times in the living rooms of residents in Pays de Loire, Brittany and Ile-de-France.”Then we said to ourselves: ‘Let’s try Avignon.’ And I contacted a theater director who accepted us quickly“, smiles Lucie Le Blanc.

“The perfect place for us to discover”

The company will therefore play at the Tache d’encre theater in Avignon every day at noon except Mondays, from July 4 to 25. “This festival is the perfect place for us to discover“, slips the lyric singer. Through this participation, she would like her show to be spotted and then programmed in other theaters throughout France.

The company launched an online prize pool on HelloAsso with a goal of €10,000. The money raised will be used to pay for the rental of the theater room, the accompanying team, the posters and flyers for the show, as well as travel to Avignon and accommodation on site.
