After the municipal elections, the list of outgoing mayor Thierry Bouquet came out on top. Catherine Lehuede, Jean-Michel Hamard, Marie Minot, Anthony Molini, Aurélia Merkel, Fabian Detaille, Anasthasia Da Costa, and Christophe Roudil, his fellow candidates, were elected. Two councilors from the opposing list, Aurélie Bouyssou and Jérôme Couderc, also entered the municipal council.

Everyone gathered (except for Jérôme Couderc and Anasthasia Da Costa) and re-elected Thierry Bouquet as the head of the commune, Jean-Michel Hamard as the 1st deputy, and Catherine Lehuede as the 2nd deputy. The allocation of various committees was then discussed, and each person, according to their skills and availability, chose to participate.

Next Steps: An update on the rental of communal housing and some sanitation work will soon be on the agenda of the municipal council, as well as the management of these accommodations. A study on heating and insulation of the village hall, the town hall, and the three housing units will be launched to save energy. “I am going back with a dynamic, very involved, and united team,” emphasizes Thierry Bouquet, who wants to live together in Masquières. In this regard, a kiosk will be built near the village square, a structure that will serve to welcome hikers and other passersby, but also as a meeting point for residents, especially on Sunday evenings where pizza tasting is offered at the heart of the village. A citizen action, in a way, that will be complemented by some activities.
