The European Band Festival returns to the road after a finale shortened by the storm. A red and white 2 CV will travel to ten European cities this summer to present trophies to the winning teams of the 53rd edition.
Gilles Boyer was, like many festayres and of course the musicians, saddened and frustrated to see the 53rd bandas festival close early and, above all, without proclamation of the results. The fault was a nasty storm which threatened the Gers this Sunday evening in May, while the party was in full swing.

The next day, the president of the event raised the idea of organizing a festive prize-giving tour among the various winners of this 2024 edition. Approved by its board of directors, this project will come to fruition this weekend with a visit with the Amuses Gueules de Grignols, winners of the Silver Moon, second prize of the night.

Thus, the European Bandas Festival is preparing to tour Europe to meet the winning bands from the 53rd edition last May, and present them with their respective trophies.
A 2 CV for mascot
On this occasion, a 2 CV dressed in red and white will soon hit the road with the entire festival team! The president, employees and members of the board of directors of the association will take turns on the different dates of this summer tour, ten destinations for as many festive moments.
From Spain to Belgium, via Bordeaux, the Festival will proudly carry its colors beyond our borders throughout the summer.
With a view to highlighting this exceptional operation, the Festival wanted to mark the occasion and shine the colors of the South-West through its journeys. A 2 CV was thus flocked in red and white, and will transport the trophies across all the roads of France and Europe.
To protect their vehicle (as well as their lower back!), the festival ambassadors will transport the 2 CV in the festival colors on a trailer for the longest journeys, but the valiant Citroën will nevertheless make the last kilometers from its destinations on its wheels to enter the cities visited.
