Musical journey to the heart of Brazil with Fafa Carioca at the René-Char cultural center in Digne-les-Bains

The René-Char cultural center in Digne-les-Bains will host, Thursday June 11, 2026 at 7 p.m., a concert dedicated to travel and discovery. Between jazz, bossa-nova and traditional Brazilian music, the public is invited to embark on a warm and exotic evening with the show Trip.

Accompanied by her musicians within a Franco-Brazilian collective, Fafa Carioca presents her new musical project. As its name suggests, Trip – travel in Portuguese – offers a crossing of Brazil from South to North, meeting its rhythms and cultures. Bossa-nova, samba, MPB, xote, baião and other sounds from the Nordeste make up a rich and colorful program.

Songs, anecdotes and poems

Throughout the concert, songs, anecdotes, poems and nods to France mingle with the music to tell the soul of Brazil. From popular traditions to the harmonies of jazz, from the strength of African rhythms to the poetry of the texts, each painting invites in turn to reverie, to emotion and dancing.
