Kuwait and Bahrain targeted
In response, the Guardians said they fired ballistic missiles towards the Ali Al-Salem air base in Kuwait, where American aircraft are stationed, and the headquarters of the American Fifth Fleet in Bahrain.
Journalists from theAFP in these two countries said they had heard explosions, particularly near Kuwait airport, where an attack attributed to Iran left one dead and around sixty injured on Wednesday.
We were awakened by deafening explosions. The explosions were extremely noisy. My children were terrified, and I couldn’t calm them down
testified Reem, an Egyptian living in Kuwait, to theAFP.
The Centcom said he intercepted several missiles and drones launched by Iran towards the Strait of Hormuz and its Gulf neighbors
. According to him, six missiles were destroyed and one missed its target.
Since the ceasefire of April 8, hostilities had virtually ceased between the United States and Iran. But they have resumed in recent days, particularly around the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic sea route for hydrocarbons blocked by Tehran.

The military advisor to the Iranian Supreme Leader, Mohsen Rezaï, affirmed in an interview with the American channel CNN that negotiations are deadlocked
to end the war.
Il a appelé le président américain Donald Trump à get out of this impasse
by unlocking the 24 billion dollars of Iranian funds abroad frozen because of American sanctions.
If he wants to reach an agreement with Iran, this $24 billion is a test of confidence […] that the United States must succeed for the way to open
he said. It’s our money, not America’s.
