A few seconds after the detonation, an immense plume of gray smoke rose into the sky above the port of Constanta this Friday. A marine drone exploded in this Romanian port located on the Black Sea. No casualties have been reported according to the authorities. The marine drone “self-destructed around 10:30 without casualties”announced the Ministry of Defense in a press release.
During a press conference, Raed Arafat, head of the Emergency Situations Department, specified that this drone had been detected around 6:00 a.m. «The area is cordoned off and the relevant authorities have secured the site»he added, specifying that two helicopters were flying over the area to check for the possible presence of other drones, while residents were invited to “avoid the coastal area within a radius of one kilometer and evacuate the entire coastline” waiting to check “There is no longer any risk of a new explosion”.
