After Orion 26, another large-scale military exercise will be organized in Morbihan. Around 250 soldiers will participate in the “Bugel-Noz” exercise between Saturday, March 28 and Monday, March 30, 2026. This is part of the first-year training for officer cadets at the Saint-Cyr military school.

An infiltration exercise

The exercise will take place between southern Ille-et-Vilaine and Morbihan. “The soldiers will depart from Meucon military camp to reach Bains-sur-Oust. They will progress day and night,” reveals the Saint-Cyr Coëtquidan Military Academy. The town of Le Cours, between Vannes and Ploërmel, informs residents that a military exercise will take place in the communal territory.

“Groups of 6 officer cadets, moving on foot, must traverse a maneuver area while trying not to be detected. Maneuver military troops will be tasked with searching for them. They may move on foot or in vehicles,” explains the community.

Drones may be used in the exercise.

This is a supervised training exercise, without danger to the population.

Police patrols may oversee these exercises. Finally, exercise ammunition may be used occasionally.
