Who owns French heritage? And who can claim it? The case of Amine the Conqueror, a heritage influencer, shows that these questions are still very open. For a year, Amine Kassid has been using drones to film the great castles of France, then publishing the images on his Instagram account. While the cameras capture the roofs, Amine tells the history of the place in a simple way by adopting “The look of a 12-year-old child”. Pierrefonds, Chambord, Vaux-le-Vicomte, Chenonceaux, the Saint-Ours collegiate church in Loches and many others were visited by this ace of images and social networks.
“I don’t have a history degree, I’m just passionate, and I want to show people from neighborhoods or villages that all this belongs to them.” explains this native of Cergy (Val-d’Oise). Initially filming the most prestigious castles without authorization – which landed him in trouble with the castle of Saint-Germain-en-Laye –
