While access to culture sometimes remains limited in the south of Seine-et-Marne, the MusiQafon association focuses on an original approach : bringing culture directly to meet residents. Founded 26 years ago years, the structure multiplies artistic and social projects throughout the south of the department, particularly in the most rural areas, with a slogan: “make culture accessible to all”.
To do this, MusiQafon can count on the faithful “Cécile” and “Bébé”, its two emblematic colorful trucks rehabilitated into real mobile stages, which constantly crisscross the municipalities of the territory.
More than 32 concerts scheduled
Every yearthe two MusiBuses set off on a true musical epic throughout the south of the department on the occasion of the traditional “MusiBus Tour”. From village squares to schools, including nursing homes and structures welcoming people with disabilities, the MusiBus Tour aims to bring culture to life everywhere and for everyone. For this sixteenth edition, 32 concerts are already scheduled, from the beginning of June to the end of September, in 19 municipalities.
The MusiBus will cover a wide area going north from Livry-sur-Seine to Bransles in the south, including several dates in Nemours and Fontainebleau.
The bus is a pretext to get in touch with the population
“The bus is a pretext to get in touch with the population “, smiles the founder and director of the association. Jazz, hip-hop, reggae, pop and even French variety will punctuate this program built around numerous local talents. “We work almost exclusively with Seine-et-Marne artists. We are already losing a lot of public services. We must not lose culture too. We don’t want the villages to become dormitory villages.”
An association with a social dimension
The association also claims a strong social dimension. In addition to its actions with isolated people, MusiQafon supports and fully integrates residents in the creation of cultural and associative projects.
“We are like a social center, we support residents to build cultural projects with them and for them,” explains the director. A way for the structure to support local cultural employment, with the support in particular of the Ministry of Culture and the Department of Seine-et-Marne.
Building on its success, in 2025, the association has carried out no less than 285 cultural actions in the region. MusiQafon also has an associative café, the “Notown Café”, in Nanteau-sur-Lunain, designed as a real place for living and sharing.
