A year after the release of Copiapó and six months after the publication of his book Lignes de vie, rider Alexis Righetti returns with a new film project entitled Estos. This long format film is dedicated to one of the most complex and challenging descents of his career.
The meeting is open to the public on Friday June 5 at 8:30 p.m. at the Véo de Muret cinema for a debate screening. The director will be present with his team for the occasion. This moment will offer the opportunity to discuss with the protagonists of the film about behind the scenes of filming, engagement in high mountains and the creation of independent outdoor films.
The feature film follows step by step the four attempts necessary to successfully descend the Estos peak, located in the heart of the Pyrenees in the Louron valley. It depicts a dizzying line that nothing seemed destined to be covered by mountain bike. aerials, rope maneuvers, doubts, fatigue and renunciations, the work tells as much an extreme sporting adventure carried out by Alexis Righetti and his teammate Bertrand Montoya as an obsessive quest of several years around improbable lines.
The technical achievement immerses the viewer in total immersion in the elements. The result is an immersive film, shot as close as possible to the void by Fanny Boissieras on camera, a film which seeks as much to make people feel as to open the debate towards more philosophical subjects.
