Kev Adams has just taken his revenge on all the haters who regularly target him by accusing him of being a heavy comedian and a failed actor. Indeed, the 34-year-old Frenchman attended the auditions for the flagship show of the NBC channel, America’s got talent. Faced with a jury of stars made up of Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Mel B and SofÃa Vergara, “Kev” did not tremble, and hit the mark from the start.

The jury was initially surprised by his excellent level of English, especially since the comedian admitted that he did not speak a word of the language until four years ago. His entire five-minute number, which hilariously tackled the perception of Americans by foreigners, the vague meaning of the expression “hang out” and the complexity of local taxes, really hit the nail on the head. The proof: the whole room was filled with laughter, from the beginning to the end of his performance.

The praise was quick to pour in after his performance. “You’re in a totally different culture, a different language and you’ve picked up on all the nuances. You are really great, I love you,” exclaimed Howie Mandel. For her part, ex-Spice Girl Mel B was just as won over:

“You were just hot, crazy, sexy, cool, all that. You are very, very funny, very nice, we easily identify with you, I love it!”

Even the formidable Simon Cowell has given in to the French patter, saluting his innate sense of humor:

“Apart from the fact that you are naturally funny, you have what it takes to be a good comedian. It’s really very funny”

Once the artist left the stage, Howie Mandel even got up to give his colleague a definitive sentence:

“He’s the best comedian we’ve ever hadâ€

Just that!

Assessment: the one who made himself known in France thanks to the series Soda broadcast between 2011 and 2015 received 4 “YES” from the jury: unanimous validation for his formidable talent as a narrator.

Long-term work

This television appearance crowns in-depth work started some time ago by the actor. To hone his skills, Kev Adams regularly tests his sketches in English in small, renowned stand-up rooms, such as the Comic Strip in New York, or The Upstairs comedy club and The Hollywood Improv in Los Angeles, as explained on the BFM TV website.

Like Gad Elmaleh before him, Kev Adams now leads a dual international career without abandoning his French-speaking fans. It will indeed be showing in the film next fall The Maison de nos rêvesdirected by Claude Zidi Jr, where he will play the role of Chantal Ladesou.
