It’s the event of the end of March in Narbonne (Aude). The organizers of the city center’s Halles are hosting the eighth edition of the Nocturnes on Thursday, March 26th starting at 6:30 PM on the cinema theme.
Celebrating the 7th Art
The 64 market vendors who bring this essential place to life in the seaside resort of Aude will all participate in this event. From 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM, all visitors can gather in the square and stroll through the building’s aisles. Many activities will be offered by the merchants on this occasion.
Didier the magician, a professional artist, will be there and will perform various tricks that he is known for to the night owls. As in previous editions, the Aude disc jockey Jerry Wallis, who usually performs at the club L’Imprevu, will be in charge of the musical entertainment for the evening.
Modified Traffic and Parking
A big contest is also planned in partnership with the Narbonne CGR cinema. Not less than 50 movie tickets can be won.
“Every time, the Nocturnes attract several thousand curious visitors and night owls to our building, whether inside, in the square, or on the street perpendicular to the Cours, near Chez Beabelle,” explains Stephane Romain, spokesperson for the site, contacted by Actu.fr.
It is mainly to allow all these visitors to enjoy the atmosphere and festivities in optimal security conditions that modifications in traffic and parking in the city center were announced by the municipality on Tuesday, March 24th.
These measures will take effect, for the most part, starting at 6 PM on Thursday, March 26th.
- From 3 PM: no parking on Emile-Digeon square, from Boulevard Ferroul to Quai Valliere,
- From 6 PM: no traffic on Boulevard Dr. Ferroul, between Quai Valliere and Rue Lamennais,
- From 6 PM, Rue Lamennais is a dead end. Vehicles entering it can no longer reach Boulevard Dr. Ferroul,
- From 6 PM, Baptiste Limouzy and Rossini streets are dead ends; they no longer allow access to Boulevard Dr. Ferroul,
“Any violation of the measures will result in immediate impoundment of the vehicle,” the city stated in its press release. Motorists are thus warned. And, this is not a movie.
