The new municipal councilors gathered at the town hall of Thézac recently to elect the mayor and his deputies, in the presence of some villagers. Running for his own reelection, former mayor Jean-Luc Mucha was reelected unanimously to head the commune. Claudette Robert will be the 1st deputy and Renaud Barrière the 2nd deputy.

A team is ready to start working after distributing duties among the elected officials to various committees.

At the first meeting, a slideshow outlining the upcoming projects, developments, financial summaries was presented. Discussions on municipal taxes, mayor and deputy remuneration, roads maintenance equipment purchase, communal building renovations, and potentially expanding the bakery were held. The new communal bistro with a small grocery store is also underway. The construction of intergenerational houses or a hall to make the village more attractive for its 200 inhabitants, creating a village center around the church, was discussed. The mayor emphasized the municipality’s support for the rich associative fabric in Thézac.

Promising work prospects were discussed further during a friendly gathering.
