In Quimper, Palestinian youth showcase their culture

From June 10 to 21, the “Kemper Balata Twinning Committee” association is touring the region. The project, entitled “Palestine in Brittany”, mobilizes a group of four young boys, four young girls as well as four guides, all coming from the Balata refugee camp, in the West Bank. An invitation to meet Palestinian culture.

Several meetings in Quimper

At the Maison pour tous in Penhars, on Friday June 12, they will present the fruits of more than a year of work. On the program, representation of Dabkeh (traditional dance), music, songs and reading of poems.

On June 16, the Flux association will organize a public meeting with young people and their supporters. A moment of exchange intended to describe their daily life in a refugee camp.

The group will continue its Armorican tour in Brest, Morlaix and Rostrenen.

As part of this project, the Quimper town hall is hosting a photographic exhibition. Installed since May 29, it presents daily life and Palestinian culture through photos. She will move out on June 10.
