The attack occurred in Yenakiyevo, in the Donetsk region, administered by Russia. A Ukrainian drone strike on a bus linking Moscow to Simferopol, in annexed Crimea, left at least seven dead and eleven injured, local authorities announced Wednesday June 3. On Telegram, the head of administration, Denis Pouchiline, assures that, “according to preliminary information”the victims are civilians. “Eleven other people suffered injuries of varying severity, and all are receiving necessary treatment”he added.
These operations carried out by Ukrainian forces come the day after a massive Russian drone and missile attack, which left at least 23 dead, according to the latest report from the Ukrainian authorities. Among the victims, 16 were killed in the city of Dnipro.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, 354 Ukrainian drones were shot down overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday over Russia. The governor of the Russian region of Leningrad, Aleksandr Drozdenko, reported 50 drones shot down in this region alone.
In the morning, Ukrainian drones targeted the Russian city of Saint Petersburg, hitting strategic infrastructure, including an oil terminal used “for military purposes”, declared Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Telegram.
