The Commanderie de Peyrassol offers two events in June dedicated to the art of the garden, combining landscaped tours and gastronomic experiences.

In the heart of Var Provence, the Commanderie de Peyrassol highlights its natural and artistic heritage through two exceptional events planned for June 2026. This historic estate, where contemporary art dialogues with preserved nature, invites the public to a sensory immersion within its “Remarkable Garden”, first on the occasion of “Rendez-vous aux Jardins” then during an exclusive culinary evening, “La Grande Table des Jardins”.

An initiatory journey through the remarkable gardens

As part of the 23rd edition of “Rendez-vous aux Jardins”, an initiative of the Ministry of Culture, the Commanderie de Peyrassol will open the doors of its gardens free of charge on June 5 and 6. Three guided tours are scheduled, Friday June 5 at 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., and Saturday June 6 at 10:30 a.m.

Placed under the theme of view, this two and a half hour exploration will be led by a duo of experts: Gaële Bazennerye, landscape architect of the estate for more than twenty years, and Mathilde Marchand, director of the Art Collection. They will offer a subtle reading of the landscape, where the perspectives and natural lines of flight showcase a living dialogue between the vegetation and the works of art that line the route. Each visit is limited to 20 people in order to guarantee a quality experience.

Reservations are required and can be made directly on the domain’s website (https://www.peyrassol.com/reservez-votre-visite/?re-product-id=252483&rwstep=product).

A confidential table in the heart of nature

On Sunday June 28 at 7:30 p.m., the experience will continue on a gastronomic level with “La Grande Table des Jardins”. Chef Benjamin Le Balch, whose restaurant “Chez Jeannette” within the Commanderie was awarded a Michelin star, will orchestrate a unique culinary experience.

A large table will be set up in the open air, under the olive trees of the Remarkable Garden, for a confidential four-course dinner. The chef will celebrate precise and seasonal cuisine, enhancing the products of the vegetable garden and the estate’s organic farm, in perfect resonance with the wines of the Château Peyrassol vineyard. This evening, designed to be both exclusive and convivial, will offer the 60 guests a privileged moment of exchange with Benjamin Le Balch, who will share his vision of cuisine inspired by living things. The price is set at €120 per person, drinks included.

As places are limited, reservations are essential via the Commanderie website (https://www.peyrassol.com/reservez-votre-visite/?re-product-id=311501&rwstep=product).

Peyrassol, a dialogue between art, wine and nature

Founded in the 13th century by the Order of the Templars, the Commanderie de Peyrassol is an emblematic address of Provence. Taken over by Philippe Austruy 25 years ago, the estate extends over more than 850 hectares of vines, scrubland and forests in the foothills of the Massif des Maures.

A timeless place, it embodies a unique art of living at the crossroads of wine, gastronomy, hospitality and contemporary art. The Château Peyrassol vineyard, in organic farming, produces renowned Côtes de Provence appellation wines.

Among the century-old oak trees and olive groves, visitors discover an open-air sculpture trail, housing nearly 80 works from Philippe Austruy’s personal collection. The estate also offers accommodation, a bistro and the starred restaurant “Chez Jeannette”, making this place a destination complete dedicated to the awakening of the senses.
