Hiking facing the Aravis range, enjoying the fresh mountain air while admiring century-old chalets, meeting farmers, guides and craftsmen and gathering around a good farmhouse Reblochon: these are all the moments that make summer in Grand-Bornand a unique experience… and contribute to making it a place that belongs to us all. BO!Living is good for the body and the mind!
Between sports, nature and culture, everything in Grand-Bornand exudes authenticity, surpassing oneself, good living, in a natural setting conducive to the discovery of a limitless outdoor playground. Among the activities to enjoy with family or between athletes, Le Grand-Bornand offers more than 160 km of hiking trails marked out offering magnificent views of the Aravis range and Mont Blanc, and 178km of mountain bike trails of all levels.
The village of BO!Living

As for snacks, in addition to good alpine or village restaurants, two local specialties are available to the adventurer: Reblochon taken from the bag, bought the same morning at the farm (Le Grand-Bornand has nearly forty of them, which make it the 1ère agricultural commune of Haute-Savoie) or on the stalls of the Wednesday market: an institution dating from 1795! Unless you prefer the famous bescoin, a traditional little bread with anise and saffron garnished with honey or blueberry jam… a specialty offered on weekends by the artisan bakers of Grand-Bornand.
So many experiences to offer in connection with the discovery of artists’ studios nestled in some of its oldest chalets (the resort has more than 400, most of them bicentennial), and cozy shops and terraces that make the heart of Grand-Bornand beat.
The good plan: tease the jack… in the fresh air, on the highest pétanque court around Lake Annecy!

Balcony trail and “chill” atmosphere at an altitude of 2000m… The summit platform of Mont Lachat (alt. 2100m), the highest point of the ski area in winter offering a 360° view of the Alps, Lake Geneva and the Juraconfirms its vocation as a natural and fun center this summer with the addition of new facilities (relaxation areas, picnic areas, rehabilitation of the panoramic path with its viewpoints and landscape reading tables, upgrading of play areas – straw labyrinth, pétanque grounds, giant mikado, tractor circuit – or even the loan of outdoor games: pétanque balls, molky…). All of this, accessible to as many people as possible in just two ski lifts from the village!
Prices: return ski lift pass at €13.30/adult and €9.20/child (from 5 to 14 years old)
