The army announced Monday morning the death of soldier Adam Tzarfati, 20, fighting within the elite Maglan unit, attached to the Commando Brigade. He was from Rosh Haayin.
Three other soldiers were injured in a Hezbollah drone attack in southern Lebanon overnight from Saturday to Sunday, the army added.
Around 1 a.m., an FPV (First-Person View) drone loaded with explosives, launched by Hezbollah, struck a site in Yohmor, a town in southern Lebanon located near Beaufort Castle, where Israeli troops were deployed.
The explosion killed Tzarfati and seriously injured another soldier. Two other soldiers were lightly injured during the attack, the army said.
The injured soldiers were transported by helicopter to a hospital and their families were notified, the IDF added.
