In this message, Donald Trump claims to have asked his teams to examine “the feasibility” of a rally called “AMERICA IS BACK Rally”, “Wednesday, in Washington, same time, same place” where “only great patriots are invited”.

“We should organize a giant MEETING MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN for the 250th anniversary, instead of having overpaid singers that no one wants to hear, whose music is boring and who only complain,” Donald Trump said again.

The United States ambassador announces a show at the Cinquantenaire and has no shortage of superlatives: “the biggest, the best, the most incredible”

The Republican did not specify which artistic event he was referring to or which artists would be concerned.

His message, however, comes as the White House’s plan to organize a major musical celebration for the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States suffered a serious setback on Friday, after the withdrawal of five artists who cited political tensions.

There are now only four artists left among the nine initially announced Wednesday by the committee in charge of the celebrations planned between June 25 and July 10 on the National Mall esplanade in Washington.

“Unfortunately, what was presented to us as a celebration of our country has evolved into something much more divisive than what I had agreed to participate in,” declared Thursday Bret Michaels, singer of the group Poison, who was to perform there.

Donald Trump clearly sought to leave his mark on this summer anniversary, in particular by scheduling a mixed martial arts (MMA) tournament on the lawns of the White House on June 14, his 80th birthday.

Trump drops in the polls, again…: “Republican candidates will be in danger”

In a country that continues to produce some of the biggest international stars, the lineup for the celebrations of the 250th anniversary of the United States of artists who had their hour of glory in the last century, such as the rapper Vanilla Ice, the group C+C Music Factory or the ex-duo Milli Vanilli (one of the two members died in 1998), had sparked a mountain of sarcasm on social networks.
