The traditional summer market starts on the last Thursday of June and ends on the last Thursday of August. It takes place in the shaded setting of the Foirail Square. While promoting local products, it contributes to the summer entertainment and delights vacationers or passing tourists.
A moment of conviviality, it offers the pleasure of strolling through the stalls and chatting with local producers and artisans. It is also enhanced with musical entertainment and organized by the Monestiés Market Association. The association will hold its General Assembly, followed by a spring aperitif, on Tuesday, March 24 at 6:30 pm, at the community center located to the right of the town hall. This meeting will be an opportunity to reconnect and discuss ideas and projects for the future of the market.
Several members of the board of directors involved in setting up the market will soon be stepping down from their positions. New members and volunteers, especially for the Thursday setup, are being sought to ensure its continuation and keep this highly appreciated event alive.
