Hamas says Israeli advance in Gaza is a ‘blatant violation’ of ceasefire
Hamas strongly criticized Benjamin Netanyahu’s announcement on Friday aimed at expanding Israeli territorial control in the Gaza Strip, believing that this decision contravenes the ceasefire concluded in October 2025.
“In a blatant violation of all agreements, as usual, Netanyahu announced the extension of control to 70% of the Gaza Strip, even as the killings and famine continue,†declared the spokesperson for the Palestinian Islamist movement, Bassem Naïm. Iranian sources, cited by the Fars agency, describe Trump’s remarks as “a mixture of truth and lies”
Iranian sources cited Friday by the Iranian news agency Fars News Agency strongly contested Donald Trump’s statements on a possible agreement intended to end the conflict, believing that they were a “mixture of truth and lies.” According to them, no provision in the text provides that Iran guarantees the opening of the Strait of Hormuz without passage fees, contrary to what the former American president would have affirmed.
The same sources also denied that the agreement includes a clause requiring the destruction of Iranian nuclear materials. A few hours earlier, Donald Trump had indicated on Truth Social that he was preparing to make a “final decision” regarding this potential agreement, calling for an “immediate” reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and demanding that Iranian enriched uranium be “DESTROYED,” a word he had written in capital letters.
