The opportunity for her to look back at her beginnings and the #MeToo movement which has shaken up the universe in which she had been operating until then.

Don’t let yourself be locked in

“This is just the beginning of a big, big, big change,” begins Laetitia Casta. “For me, it’s been a long time since my #MeToo started. I never let myself get carried away when I was disrespected. I always felt that I had to assert myself in relation to that, so as not to let myself be trapped in something that was not me.” Model and actress, she explains that both worlds have evolved a lot since then. Good news because her daughter, Sahteene, has also decided to get started.

Born on October 19, 2001, she is the daughter that Laetitia Casta had with photographer Stéphane Sednaoui. A model, she notably paraded during the presentation of Miu Miu’s 2020 cruise collection.

Trust and vigilance

A great pride for her mother who never needed to advise her as she confirms Marie Claire : “She learned by watching. She didn’t arrive in this environment with a gun in her head. […]So she doesn’t have a naivety that I could have had. Young people are much more informed now.” An observation which reassures her even if Laetitia remains vigilant: “There are always flaws in the system.”
