The Ventoux Regional Natural Park is organizing the 13e Edition of the ‘gorges de la Nesque, Voie Verte d’un jour!’. This day, which will take place this Sunday, May 31, will close the national event ‘May by bike’.
The opportunity for amateur or experienced cyclists in VTC, mountain bike, road bike, electrically assisted bike, tandem, recumbent bike, third wheel, tricycle, unicycle as well as people with reduced mobility to enjoy the superb landscapes of the Nesque gorges in complete safety.
21 kilometers without cars
For the occasion, CD 942 will be prohibited for motorized vehicles (including electric, excluding VAE) by Order of the Vaucluse Departmental Council, partner of the event.
The route offers 21 kilometers of small road between the exit of Villes-sur-Auzon (altitude 284m) and Monieux (altitude 644m). Positive but progressive gradient allowing practice for all ages and all levels. Travel possible in both directions, up and down.
Several information points along the route
The route includes information breaks; forest fire prevention, information on cycle tourism and cycle routes around Ventoux near Fayol, discovery of the Natura 2000 site at the Belvédère du Rocher du Cire…
In addition to the Parc du Ventoux, this 100% soft mobility day is also organized by the Departmental Cycle Tourism Committee, the municipalities of Villes-sur-Auzon, Blauvac, Monieux and the collective of Tourist Offices “Ventoux, from the lands to the summit†.
