In a recent conference held in Poland, important discussions took place regarding the strengthening of relations between Poland and ASEAN, with a focus on enhancing strategic resilience in the face of global challenges. The event was organized by the Polish Parliament in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Agency for Academic Exchange, and the Polish Institute of International Affairs. Key figures in attendance included the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, as well as the Vietnamese Ambassador to Poland.

During the opening speech, the Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized the increasing importance of cooperation between Poland, the EU, and ASEAN, highlighting shared values and objectives. As a result, Poland is set to join the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC) to expand its global partnership network, aiming to become a gateway for ASEAN into the EU.

The Vietnamese Ambassador, Ha Hoang Hai, also underscored the significance of dialogue and cooperation between Europe and Asia, particularly between Poland and ASEAN. He commended the conference for promoting development, fostering regional understanding, and contributing to global peace and stability.

The Ambassador praised the positive progress in ASEAN-EU and ASEAN-Poland relations, expressing support for Poland’s accession to TAC to facilitate political dialogue, promote economic cooperation, and create new opportunities for collaboration. The conference included insightful discussions on security challenges, economic cooperation amid global instability, and the role of academic networks in building lasting relationships among nations.

Overall, the seminar provided a platform for exchanging views on Poland’s relations with ASEAN countries and current geopolitical challenges, reaffirming Poland’s commitment to ASEAN as a key focus of its foreign policy.
