The “Frontièra” exhibition hosted by the collective La Praxis Etnica Liura was inaugurated in Treilles with a program mixing art, Occitan language and cultural activities.
The “Frontièra” exhibition was inaugurated in the presence of mayor Gérard Lucien and the artist Mélanie Roussel representing the artist collective La Praxis Etnica Liura, a collective of around twenty artists brought together for their sensitivity to the Occitan language and culture.
The artist Mélanie Roussel presented in a few words this collective and the artists who exhibit alongside it, namely: Joan-Carles Coderc, Melissande Artús, N.Jovani, Fréderic Fau and Anabelle Yolle. The artist also presented his works as well as those produced by the students of the Treilles school following his intervention in their class.
Drawing a border, transforming it into space, tracing what crosses it: this is what the students experimented with in class using a map of their territory. These experiments took the form of cardboard border markers. Each terminal has five faces, between which the gaze circulates freely.
During the opening, Occitan music was present with the trio Kitch o doble and it all closed with a tasting of excellent regional products.
