A scientific conference on “Pham Van Dong and Foreign Relations – Vietnamese Diplomacy” was held with more than 100 delegates in attendance, including former officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, central department officials, representatives from various ministries and agencies, research institutes, ambassadors, experts, and students from the Diplomatic Academy.
The seminar, part of the 120th anniversary commemorations of Pham Van Dong’s birth, aimed to examine and clarify his vision and methodology in foreign policy. Participants included former party members and ministers who shared memories and anecdotes about Pham Van Dong’s contributions to Vietnam’s revolutionary cause.
Nguyen Manh Cuong, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, highlighted Pham Van Dong’s diplomatic style characterized by sincerity, humility, and a pursuit of peace and development goals. Delegates praised Dong’s contributions to Vietnamese diplomacy and his strategic leadership during times of war and peace.
The seminar concluded with a speech from Nguyen Manh Cuong emphasizing Pham Van Dong’s importance in building a solid foundation for foreign affairs and international integration. Delegates expressed gratitude for his legacy, which continues to provide guidance for modern diplomacy.
