Parc Astérix confirms its commitment to a more responsible entertainment model. During the SNELAC meetings, the site was awarded the Sustainable Entertainment Label, “committed” level. This recognition is part of a structured CSR strategy, focused on reducing the environmental impact of the park as well as a committed policy in terms of human resources and quality of life at work.
An environmental strategy around four priorities
For several years, Parc Astérix has adopted a CSR strategy focused on four priorities: decarbonization and energy performance, the preservation of biodiversity, the controlled use of water resources as well as the sorting and recovery of waste.
Among the results announced, the park indicates a 65% drop in its direct greenhouse gas emissions between 2019 and 2025 as well as participation in the preservation of 63 hectares of Natura 2000 zones. It has also transformed its catering points with the introduction of reusable tableware and the reduction of single-use consumables in order to avoid several tons of packaging each year. Photovoltaic shades must be deployed in visitor and employee car parks during this year. The installation will be capable of producing more than 7 GWh per year and will cover nearly 30% of the park’s needs for self-consumption of renewable energy.
Employment, training and quality of life at work
Parc Astérix brings together more than 200 professions in several sectors, including reception, attractions, catering, hotels, shows and maintenance. Each year, it recruits 2,500 seasonal workers, almost half of whom return from one season to the next. In addition, the park also supports nearly 100 work-study students, from CAP to Bac+5. In 2025, 143 talents were graduated thanks to qualifying and certifying training.
Following the development of the site, 900 additional direct jobs will be generated by 2029. Investments have also been made to improve working conditions with the creation of a Maison des Spectacles, a Maison de la Restauration as well as the renovation of the Operators’ House. The park also indicates that it carries out daily actions to preserve the health and safety at work of its employees.
