Revealed in season 2 of Star Academy, Anne-Laure Sibon now leads a very different life. The former singer from the same season as Nolwenn Leroy and Georges-Alain Jones now runs a campsite located on the shores of Lake Geneva with her partner Audrey. After several years in music and then in tourist activities, Anne-Laure Sibon obtained a diploma in tourist establishment manager. An assumed reconversion, which she regularly shares with enthusiasm on social networks.
A new career after Star Academy
In 2002, Anne-Laure Sibon became known to the general public thanks to the second season of Star Academy. Alongside Nolwenn Leroy, George-Alain Jones and Houcine Camara, she joined the famous castle of Dammarie-les-Lys. Even if her adventure in the show ended quickly, she then pursued a musical career. After the season’s tour, she released her first album, Sibon la vie, in 2005. Then, a few years later, she released a second opus entitled Nassim Jade. However, over time, the former candidate gradually distances herself from the world of music and finally chooses to move towards a new, more stable professional path.
From the 2010s, Anne-Laure Sibon turned to tourism and entertainment. For more than ten years, she worked in several establishments in France and abroad. She then had a series of experiences in hotels, holiday clubs, but also bars and restaurants. Turkey, the island of Ré and the south of France became his professional terrain. At the same time, she is developing skills in coaching and tourist reception. This reconversion therefore does not happen overnight. Very invested in her new career, Anne-Laure even decides to resume her studies in order to obtain a diploma as a tourist establishment manager, a goal that she announces having achieved at the end of 2024 on Instagram.
A peaceful life on the shores of Lake Geneva
Today, Anne-Laure Sibon manages the La Pinède campsite, located in Excenevex, between Thonon-les-Bains and Geneva. With her partner Audrey, she is beginning her second season at the head of this establishment located on the shores of Lake Geneva. The campsite particularly attracts visitors thanks to its natural white sand beach, particularly rare in this region. On site, the former singer supervises several daily missions. She participates in particular in the renovation of infrastructures, the recruitment of entertainment teams and communication on social networks. Very involved in this project, she seems to have found a balance far from the spotlight and the intense rhythm of the television world. On December 31, 2024, Anne-Laure Sibon shares this new adventure with her subscribers on Instagram. “I was focused on my goal: obtaining the diploma of tourist establishment manager. It’s done!†, she wrote with pride. A few months earlier, she was already talking about her ambition to “make La Pinède campsite in Excenevex a paradise on earth and try to make people as happy as possible†. A statement that perfectly reflects his current state of mind. More than twenty years after her time in the Star Academy, Anne-Laure Sibon seems fully fulfilled in this new professional life, far from the musical scene which revealed her at the beginning of the 2000s.
