From June 5 to 7, the City of Besançon is organizing the second edition of the Intercultural Weekend. Free and open to all, the event will take place at the Town Hall, the Kursaal, the Comtois Museum of the Citadel, the Center for Applied Linguistics (CLA), the Bastion as well as the Sandales d’Empedocles.
This year, linguistic diversity is highlighted through the theme “The words that inhabit us”, illustrating, for the City of Besançon “the international openness and cultural richness of the city“.
Over three days, shows, meetings, workshops, screenings and exhibitions will invite the public to discover the diversity of cultures and languages present in the region. Among the highlights is the new show L’ailleurs, offered on Sunday June 7 at 6 p.m. at the Petit Kursaal.
Programming accessible to all :
- Shows & performances: life stories, artistic creations around migratory journeys and languages and a new show “L’ailleurs” to be discovered on Sunday June 7 at 6 p.m. at the Petit Kursaal.
- Linguistic and artistic workshops: introduction to GuaranÃ, Arabic, Dari, Chinese calligraphy, multilingual songs.
- Round tables & conferences: reflection on the links between languages, cultures and identities
- Screenings & debates: documentaries followed by discussions with the directors.
- Exhibitions: life journey, linguistic diversity and shared perspectives on cultures
- Participatory activities: dance, body expression workshops, activities for children and families.
